Trayport, a leading supplier of multi-asset class electronic trading systems, today
announced the appointment of James Davies as Head of its Trader Systems Business Unit. This appointment
coincides with the recent announcement of Trayport’s new company structure which now offers separate
business units for broker, exchange and trader systems, marking significant changes within the company.
James brings over 9 years of experience in the trading industry to Trayport having held the role of VP Global
Head of Futures Product Management at eSpeed International, a subsidiary of Cantor Fitzgerald prior to joining

James was formerly a senior member of EccoWare, since its inception in 1998, a financial markets ISV building
and designing front office systems for listed futures and options markets, which was sold to eSpeed in 2004.
James was responsible for designing and implementing the derivatives Graphical User Interface (GUI) product
and algorithmic spreading tool currently sold by eSpeed under the EccoWare brand. James also previously
worked at Westminster Clearing Ltd, a Refco subsidiary where he was a yellow jacket on the LIFFE floor and
holds a BSc (Hons) in Physics from the University of Southampton.
