Trayport Limited, a leading provider of multi-asset-class electronic trading solutions, today announced that Rhein Ruhr Partner Gesellschaft für Energiehandel mbH (RheinRuhr) will use GlobalVision Trading GatewaySM for energy trading.
RheinRuhr was formed in 2008 and is solely owned by Stadtwerke Duisburg AG, who provides energy services across Germany.
Sorin Albeanu, Sales Manager at Trayport, said, “Many German utilities trading electricity and gas are already using Trading Gateway to trade in the European energy OTC and Cleared markets. We are proud to now have around 20 clients in Germany as well as 90% of Austrian utilities using our system to access the German power and gas markets.”
Ingo Hartmann, Head of Trading, RheinRuhr said, "We want to use Trayport’s Trading Gateway to give our traders a consolidated view of broker markets and easily execute orders at the best available prices. Trading Gateway means that we can see in one screen prices for power, gas, coal and emissions and view additional synthetic prices from top of the stack bids and offers cross brokers and exchanges. We are currently looking at the integration between Trading Gateway and our existing ETRM system.”
Over 130 trader clients currently depend on Trayport's Trading Gateway product for their critical trading operations. It provides vital functionality needed by traders, including access to full market depth and increased visibility and accessibility. The software also simplifies and improves efficiency in key trading processes, such as STP into a core, flexible system.
