What did you do before Trayport?

Prior to Trayport I spent many years in desktop support roles. I did 4 years at a Global Management consultancy, then about 4 years at Nomura, a Japanese investment bank. At Nomura, I supported the middle and back office functions of the business, along with time on their Fixed Income trading floor.

What attracted you to Trayport?

The chance to change my career direction. After many years in support roles I wanted something different and the application support role, where I could learn everything about an application and market, was appealing. Since joining Trayport I have moved around quite a bit – I became a Technical Client Manager in London before moving to do the same role in our Singapore office. After moving back to London, I have been a Team Lead in the Technical Client Management team before my current role as a Business Analyst in the Product team.

Any tips for someone joining us?

Be prepared for your induction, there is a lot to learn about our software and the markets we operate in. Use the time to meet as many people in different teams as possible and understand what they do – you never know when it might come in useful in the future. Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Everyone is happy to help or point you to someone who might know a little bit more.
